The background and concept of the development

ThermalViewX HR Series
Thermographies are primarily used for industrial applications. The main purpose is to detect abnormal heat emissions in the range of several tens of degrees Celsius, such as in electrical panel inspections in factories. As a result, handheld devices have become mainstream, with small displays and a usage style that involves holding them around a broad area and performing temperature analysis after capturing the images. This is because the inspection primarily involves checking for unusually red areas on the spot.
In clinics and treatment centers, there is often a need to compare temperatures before and after an intervention, and there is a strong demand for a simple and immediate comparison of two images. Additionally, since images are sometimes shown to the patient, there is a need to view them on-site at a larger size. However, industrial applications primarily use small handheld devices, which do not support features for comparing two images or displaying them in a larger format. Although there are research-grade cameras with large displays or PC connections, these options are not well-suited for functionality selection, expandability, and are often expensive. The ThermalViewX-HR series was developed to address these issues by optimizing both usability and cost, while providing the necessary expandability to meet various needs.

Thermography for biological and human surface temperature measurements

Main features of HR Series

The HR Series have gradually expanded their functions based on the needs of fields where human bodies are mainly measured. It is a new type of thermography in which you can select cameras and applications to measure temperatures on organisms and human bodies. We are still expanding its functionality and it allows users to choose from a wide variety of functions, and the number of pixels. So users can create the thermography camera they need. Eight types of cameras and six types of applications are available to minimize costs and maximize performance. In addition, functions can be created separately. These allow users to solve a wide variety of problems.
Applications suitable for research and development, with enhanced measurement accuracy

Thermal image processing that enhances temperature differences

The ThermalViewX HR series addresses a common issue encountered in the field: the lack of signal processing and image processing suitable for extracting minute differences in biological measurements and implements thermal image processing that enhances temperature differences. Compared to standard color tone processing, its proprietary color tone processing tailored to skin temperature allows for very clear visualization of temperature differences in thermal images.

Temperature correction algorithm to improve reproducibility

Thermography, which detects changes in infrared radiation around room temperature, is inherently weak at measuring temporal changes and is constantly exposed to minor fluctuations in the surrounding environment. In the ThermalViewX, we have improved the “reproducibility,” which can be a significant issue when aiming to detect subtle changes, such as those in skin temperature ranging from 0.5℃ to 1℃.

Unique signal correction control

Red: uncontrolled (up/down approx. 0.5°C)
Blue: controlled (up/down approx. 0.3°C)

Unique signal correction control, that is essential for measuring changes over time (during data acquisition)

Specialized physiological measurement functions

Two-screen display for immediate comparison. Live images can be shown on the left and saved images on the right. This allows you to easily compare images right there.

Product information

Features by HR Series Type
TYPE O ・ TYPE R ・ TYPE SC
The HR series is a thermography application that has gradually expanded its features based on the needs of those working in human body measurement. It has now grown to include three different types, allowing users to choose from a wide range of functions. The system continues to expand its features.
TYPE O
shoulder_pectoral_pain
This model is equipped with an offset function that aligns with a specified reference temperature. Because thermography values can fluctuate due to various noise factors, the offset function is effective for accurate comparisons. In the HR series, Type O and above models are suitable for research and development. By using a separate reference temperature, this model features a function that corrects measurement errors in the thermography.
TYPE R
Thermal-view-X-HR-TypeO
The top-of-the-line model in the HR series. It is equipped with interval thermal imaging measurement, interval CSV output, offset functions, and video measurement, making it suitable for research and development. It supports a wide range of applications, including temporal observations such as load tests and temperature correction offsets for comparing peripheral skin temperature changes in rats. It is a high-end model with ample features.

TYPE SC

Thermal-view-X-HR-TypeSC
This is an application for screening purposes. It features the HR series’ high measurement accuracy and pattern recognition based on facial temperature. It is possible to trigger various alarms when specified thresholds are exceeded.
